their daughter,.Diane Barbara, to
Morris Benatar, son of Mr and
Mrs. Leo Benatar of Atlahta. The
ceremony was performed on Aug.
21 at the Westin Hotel in Chicago.

of Mrs. Katherine Beckel of
Albuquerque. N.M., and the late
Samuel Bcckel. and the late Mi
and Mrs Alexander Lourie of
Boston
The bridegroom is the grandson
of Mrs. Mary Benatar and the late
Morris Benatar, and Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Cure of Chattanooga, Tenn.,
and the late Mrs. Hannah Mae
Cure
Amanda Bur was matron of
honor, and Ann Benatar was maid
of honor. Bridesmaids were
Allison Moat, Ruth Benatar and
Lisa Fox.
Leo Benatar was his son’s best
man Ushers were Lt. Neil
Baraovitz, Marlin Benatar, Dr.
Gary Siegel, Sandy Lourie and
Tom Murphy.
The bride graduated from
Vanderbilt University and received
a bachelor of science degree in
business administration and
computer science.
The bridegroom graduated
from the University of North
Carolina and received a master’s in
business administration from the
Colgate Darden Graduate School
of Business Administration at the
University of Virginia. He is
employed by Hammermill Paper
Company.
Following a wedding trip to San
Francisco and Hawaii, the couple
will live in Boston.

Mr. and Mrs. Milton Edelson of
LaGrange announce the marriage
of their daughter, Dale Joy, to
Michael Morris of Atlanta.
The couple was married on
Sunday. July 31, at Ahavath Achim
Synagogue. Rabbi Leonard
Lifshen officiated at the ceremony.
Miss Cherri Edelson, sister of the
bride, served as maid of honor.
Miss Melissa Bridendal, of
Louisville, Ky., was flower girl.
Bridesmaids were Miss Edie
Edelson of LaGrange, Miss Laura
Traylor of LaGrange, and Mrs.
Jeffrey Diamond of Atlanta.
Robert Martin of Atlanta was
best man. Groomsmen were
Michael Edelson, brother of the
bride, Mark Pazol of Atlanta, and
Richard Goldstein of Atlanta.
After a honeymoon trip to
Bermuda, the couple is living in
Atlanta.

Mr. and Mrs. Elliot Cohen of
Columbia, S.C., announce the
engagement of their daughter.
Cynthia Rachele, to Joseph Maisel
Freeman, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Alexander Freeman of Atlanta.
The bride is the granddaughter
of Jacob Cohen and the late Ethel
Cohen, and Mrs. William
Mendelson and the late Isadore
Mendelson.
The bridegroom is the grandson
of the late Aaron and Ida
Freeman, and the late Joseph and
Gussie Maisel.
Miss Cohen received a B.S.N.
degree from the University of
Maryland and is employed as a
nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in
Atlanta.
The future bridegroom received
a B.A. degree and J.D. degrees
from the University of Georgia. He
is practicing with the Atlanta law^
firm of Elerbee, Thompson and
Trapnell.
A March wedding is planned.

Miss Beverly Schultz and Dr.
David Cooper announce their
marriage on June 19, at
Congregation Beth Jacob
Synagogue, with Rabbi Emanuel
Feldman and Cantor Benjamin
Stiefel. officiating. A reception
followed in the social hall.
The bnde is the daughter of the'
Mrs. Cooper
late Mr. and Mrs. Abe Schultz of
Cleveland, Ohio. The bridegroom
is the son of Mrs. Pearl Cooper
and the late Harry Cooper of
Birmingham.
The bride was escorted to the
chupa by her brothers, Larry
Schultz of Akron, Ohio, and
Byron Schultz of Cleveland.
Matron of honor was Pamela
Schultz of Akron, sister-in-law of
the bride. Also attending the bride
were Leslie Schultz of Akron,
niece of the bride, Mrs. Paula Gris
and Mrs. Chana Shapiro, both of
Atlanta. Flower girl was Miss
Alyssa Schultz of Akron, niece of
the bride. Mrs. Sonya Rabinowitz
of Atlanta kept the bride’s book.
Arnold Cooper of New Orleans
was his brother’s best man. Ushers
were David Schultz of Akron,
nephew of the bride, Rabbi Zvi
Shapiro, David Meltz, Ben
Rabinowitz and William Gris, all
of Atlanta, and Michael Cohen of
Tampa, Fla.
The bride, a former flight
attendant, received a bachelor’s
degree and master's degree in
learning disabilities/behavior
disorders from the University of
Cincinnati. She is a learning
disabilities specialist with the
DeKalb County School System.
The bridegroom received a
bachelor's degree in industrial
management from the Georgia
Institute of Technology, and a
medical degree from Indiana
University. He interned at the
Naval Medical Center, St, Albans,
New York City. His residency was
at the Naval Medical Center,
Philadelphia, and the University of
Pennsylvania Graduate School of
Medicine.
Dr. Cooper is a clinical
instructor at Emory University,
department of dermatology, aad is
on the staff of Grady Memorial
Hospital. He also practices in
Riverdale.
The couple honeymooned in
Israel, and is living in Atlanta.
