Miss Schwartz weds Mr. Koonin
Carolyn and Allen Woll of Dun-
woody, and Allen E. Schwartz of
Southfield, Mich., announce the
marriage of their daughter, Eydie
Rene Schwartz, to Steven Richard
Koonin, son of Harriet and Bo
Koonfn of Atlanta. The ceremony
was performed June 16 at Congrega
tion Sheatith Israel, with Rabbi
Juda Mint/ officiating.
The bride is the granddaughter
of Mrs. Rose Chayet of Tucson,
Ariz.. and the late Herman Ernest
Chayet of Detroit. Mrs. Lee Eichner
of Sommerville, N.J. and the late
Samuel Schwartz of Detroit.
The bridegroom is the grandson
of Frieda and Morris Ween of
Atlanta, Mrs. Sarah Koonin of
Lauderhill, Fla., and the late David
Koonin of New York.
Michelle Schwartz, sister of the
bride, was the maid of honor. Bri
desmaids were Lisa Woll, sister of
the bride, Lisa Koonin, sister of the
bridegroom, Cathy Binder, Venice
Heath, Susan Newman and Michele
Sandfelder.
The bridegroom’s father was best
man. Groomsmen were David Bind-

Rosenblatt-Warshaw
Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Rosenblatt
of Houston announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Denise
Elaine Rosenblatt, to Michael Artie
Warshaw, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Irvin J. Warshaw of Savannah.
Miss Rosenblatt is a graduate of
the High School for the Perform
ing and Visual Arts. She is pursu
ing a career in the recording indus
try.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted
Rosenblatt and of Esidor Aron
and the late Mrs. Orina Aron
Straus, all of Miami.
Mr. Warshaw received a bache
lor of science degree in chemistry
from Armstrong State College. He
is a lab manager in the field of oil
analysis for Analysts Inc. of Atlan
ta.
The bridegroom-elect is the grand
son of Mrs. Hannah Bradley and
the late Aaron Louis Bradley, and
of Mrs. Yetta Warshaw and the
late Benjamin Warshaw, all of
Savannah.
The wedding is planned for mid-
October.
Miss Robinson weds Dr. Gaynes
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Robin
son of Greensboro, N.C., announce
the marriage of their daughter Fran
ces. to Dr. Robert Paul Gaynes,
son of Mr and Mrs. Calvin C.
Gaynes of Flossmoor, Ill. Dr.
Gaynes is the grandson of Mrs. Jo
hanna Parker, and Mr. and Mrs.
Edwin Gaynes of Chicago.
The ceremony took place June.
23 at Beth David Synagogue in
Greensboro, with Rabbi Edward
Feldheim officiating.
The bride was attended by her
sister. Mrs. Joyce Shuman. Junior
attendants were Michelle and Jef
frey Gochenour of Flossmoor;
Ryan, Mark and Julie Robinson;
and Brian, Steven and Michael
Shuman; all of Greensboro. Tho
mas Gochenour was best man.
The bride graduated from the
University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill and holds a master’s
degree in community counseling
from Georgia State University. The
bridegroom graduated from the
University of Illinois and received
his medical degree from the Uni
versity of Chicago. He is employed

by the University of Chicago School
of medicine.
Berman-Farkas
Mary Davis weds Douglas Katz
Miss Anchell Farkas and Earl
Joseph Berman, both of Augusta,
were married Aug. 11 in South
Dougherty Community Center in
Albany. Rabbi Alfred Goodman
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Farkas. The bride
groom is the son of Mrs. Bernie
Berman of Savannah.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride had Mrs. Janet Wein
berger of Augusta and Mrs. Lorie
Rosen as matrons of honor.
Nathan Effel of Baxley was best
man.
A graduate of the University of
Georgia, the bride is employed by
the Department of Family and
Children Services.
The bridegroom attends the Med
ical College of Georgia.
The couple will live in Augusta.

Head, the couple will reside in
