The December meeting of the
Jewish Home Family Council has
been rescheduled. Originally
planned for Dec. 2, the meeting
will now be held at 7:30 p.m. Mon
day. Dec. 9.
The annual Hanuka latke party
for residents and family members
will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec.
15.
Jewish Young Couples
to hold Hanuka party
The Atlanta Jewish YoungCouples
will hold a Hanuka party from
5:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at
the home of Stuart and Sheila
Hanzman in Roswell. The party
will be hosted by the Hanzmans,
Marty and Ellen Frisch, and Susan
and Irv Seidman.
Everyone is asked to bring a
covered dish. Reservations can be
made by calling Sheila Hanzman,
587-1771. Children are welcome.

‘Bill of Rights’ talks set by AJCongress, NCJW
The American Jewish Congress
and the National Council of Jew
ish Women, Atlanta Section will
co-sponsor a three-part program
on the “Vanishing Bill of Rights.”
On Thursday, Dec. 5, the topic
will be “Constitutional Crisis at the
Supreme Court.” Speakers will be
Mark E. Budnitz, attorney, adjunct
professor at Emory Law School,
and president of the AJCongress
Atlanta Chapter; and attorney Keith
M. Wiener of Webb & Daniel.
BBW Chevra Chapter
to hold meeting Dec. 12
The Chevra Chapter of B’nai
B'rith Women will meet at 7:30
p.m Thursday, Dec. 12, at the
home of Phyllis Shusterman, 3901
Locklear Way, Atlanta
It will be a Hanuka celebration
and game night, complete with
dinner. Members will play Mah
Jongg, bridge. Rummy Q, Trivial
Pursuit and other favorites.

The second program, “Censor
ship in the Public Schools,” will
take place on Thursday, Dec. 12.

and attorney Bruce H. Beerman,
Forston & White, who represents
the Atlanta Board of Education.
The final program, “AIDS as a
Constitutional Issue,” will be held

Women’s American ORT, as
advocates for vocational education,
will have a booth at the American
Vocational Association Convention
Trade Show to be held in Atlanta
Dec. 7-9.
Members of the Atlanta Region
of Women’s American ORT will
staff the booth, in Hall A of the
Georgia World Congress Center.
Anyone interested in vocational

The Leo M. Frank Lodge of
B’nai B’rith will meet at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Congregation

speak on job searching and career
changing.
The lodge’s board will meet at
7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at the

The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi
Menachem M. Schneerson, will be
featured in “An Evening with the
Lubavitcher Rebbe” at 11 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 2, on Cable TV
Channel 8. Portions of the address
not shown at that time will be aired
at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, on the
same station.
This speech commemorates the
liberation of Rabbi Scheur Zalman
of Liadi, founder of the Chabad
movement, from a Russian prison,
after having been sentenced to death
187 years ago.
