Dr. and Mrs. Bernard F. Freeman
and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Fine,
all of Atlanta, announce the marriage
of their children, Melanie Lois to
Richard Ellis Fine. The ceremony
was performed by Rabbi Alvin
Sugarman at the Marriott Marquis
on Dec. 1.
Richard is the grandson of Mrs.
Laura Rosenberg Greene of Atlanta,
and J ulius Greenberg of New Orleans,
and the late Mrs. Ida Piassick
Swerdlin.
Laurie Gidlow of Dallas, sister
of the bride, was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Viki Freeman of

Krakow-Glazer
Mr. and Mrs. George Krakow of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Joan Ellen, to
David Glazer, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Alex Glazer of Miami Beach. Fla.
The bride-elect is a supervisor
with Kelly Services in Roswell.
The future bridegroom graduated
from Florida International University
and is a chemist for planning and
community development with Fulton
County.
A May 25 wedding is planned.
Slotnick-Robertson
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Slotnick
of Bellmore, N.Y., announce the
engagement of their daughter, Sharon
Jill, to Donald Robertson, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Robertson of
Moorestown, N.J.
Sharon is a student at Georgia
State University. Donald is a student
at Oglethorpe University, and the
kitchen manager at Fat Tuesday’s
in Buckhead.
The wedding is planned for April
11, 1987, in New York.

Mindy Fine-Balser of Atlanta, sister
of the bridegroom; Leigha Branyon,
Franee Craig, Karen Edelberg, Janese
Jacobson and Sharon Wildstein,
all of Atlanta, and Judy Wenger of
Chicago.
Howard Fine was his son’s best
man. Groomsmen were Mark Balser
of Atlanta, brother of the bride;
Robert Gidlow of Dallas, brother-
in-law of the bride; Billy Balser of
Birmingham; Keith Isaacson of New
Orleans; Mark Pazol, Joel Rosenberg
and Steve Waronker, all of Atlanta.
Hillary and Mindy Gidlow, nieces
of the bride, were junior bridesmaids.
Liann Freeman, niece of the bride,
was the flower girl. Adam Freeman,
nephew of the bride, was the ring
bearer. Dinah Saul and Patti West,
both of Atlanta, kept the bride’s
book.
Dr. Fine is a resident in general
surgery at Rush Presbyterian St.
Lukes Medical Center in Chicago.
After returning from a honeymoon
trip to Cancun, Mexico, and Aspen,
Col. the couple is living in Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. Joel Goldberg of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Debra Eli/abeth,
to William Christopher Patterson,
son of Mrs. Lurline Patterson and
W. Maylon Patterson, both of
Tucker.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Brockey of Atlanta and the late
Mr. and Mrs. Max Goldberg of
Worcester, Ma. She graduated from
the Westminster Schools and received
a bachelor of arts degree in journalism
from the University of Georgia.
She is an assistant account executive
with McKenzie & Associates.
The future bridegroom is the
grandson of Mrs. J. Milton Perkins
and the late J. Milton Perkins, and
the late Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Patterson.
He graduated from Tucker High
School and received a bachelor of
arts degree in business from Appala
chian State University. He is a
registered representative of the
Principal Financial Group.
The wedding is planned for March
1 at The Temple.
