Dr. Marvin Weintraub, director of continuing education at Georgia State University, conducted the seminar for an audience of representatives from the Atlanta Bureau of Jewish Education, Atlanta Jewish Com munity Center, Jewish Children’s Service, Jewish Family Services, Jewish Vocational Service, the Epstein School, Yeshiva High School, the Jewish Home and the Federation. Dr. Weintraub provided step- by-step procedures for developing, researching and writing grants. His talk was enhanced by a number of hand-outs providing helpful hints and sound resource information to beneficiary representatives. Several of the participants have written successful grants for various programs for their agencies. Others had no grant writing experience. All agreed that the Federation, in response to their executive directors’ request, had provided an informative and thought-provoking session with Dr. Weintraub, which they hope will enable them to more ef fectively tap the resources of foundation and government funding. ...
