Levine and Atlanta attorney Harry Jacobs were the speakers at an American Banking Association Con- ference held recently in Atlanta. Le\ ine's topic w as "Living With the Children You Love." Jacobs spoke on "All You Need to Know About 't our Legal and Financial Affairs." * * * * Atlantans Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Elson have established an en dow ment tund of over S100.000 at the High Museum of Art to sup port the growth of the Elson Con temporary Glass Collection. The yearly income from the fund will be used to purchase glass objects for the collection. The Elson Contemporary Glass collection focuses on 20th century glass objects and contains works by artists Dale Chihuly. Dominick Labino. Samian of Congregation Shearith Israel has been appointed director ol secon dary and community education for the Central Agency of Jewish Edu cation in St. Louis Rabbi Samian will assume his new position in July. Former Secretary of State Henry A. K issinger will join Prime Minister Shimon Peres of Israel in a tribute to Edgar M. Three Atlanta students were recently elected officers at the L'SY Ein Gedi Sub-Regional Conven tion. Stacey Joseph, an 11th grader and president of Ahavath Achim L'SY, was elected president of the Ein Gedi Sub-Region. - Norman Harber. a 10th grader and Ahavath Achim LSY mem ber. was elected secretary of the Ein Sub-Region. Norman was one of the three chairpersons of the event. Adam Yexler ol Congregation Etz Chaim was elected vice presi dent of the Ein Gedi Sub-Region. The convention was attended by more than 140 high school stu dents from 14 cities. * * * Actor Judd Hirsh, currently starring in "I'm Not Rappoport." and Joseph Wiseman will be hon ored at the annual Goldy Awards in the Jewish performing Arts on March 31 at the Central S\ na- gogue Auditorium in New York. The Goldy Awards, named alter Abraham Gold laden, are pre sented annually by the Congress tor Jewish Culture for excellence in the Jewish Performing Arts on 'l lddish and in English. Mike Bursty n, international star of the Yiddish, Hebrew and Eng lish stage, will again host the event. ■
