Brandeis Women present books
to governor’s wife for mansion
When members of Brandeis

Lady, Elizabeth Harris, had ex
pressed a desire to gather books by
Georgia authors for the mansion's

Digging into the masses of books
being readied for the annual Bran
deis Book Sale, which runs from
April 12-17 at Toco Hills, the
committee came up with a number
of appropriate volumes, including
first editions and books signed by
the author.
In a letter of appreciation, Mrs.
Harris wrote: “The people of Geor
gia will be the ultimate benefici
aries of your generosity, as these
will be loved and enjoyed by gen
erations to come."
Both Dekalb County and the

year for the annual event.
The majority of books are under

Thirty-four high school youth and

denominations.
The Task Force of 14 youth and

the various faiths. Basically, the
curriculum is the youth themselves
as they share their faith and ques
