Deborah Tager and Richard Buchman
Miss Tager, Mr. Buchman to marry
Dr. and Mrs. Phillip Rosner
Ms. Weinstein weds Dr. Rosner
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Tager of
Charlotte, N.C., announce the en
gagement of their daughter. Deborah
Joy, to Richard Buchman, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Buchman of
Atlanta.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Mrs. Jean Tager of
Clemmons, N.C., and the late
Philip Tager, and Mrs. Essie Rosen-
krantz of Hollywood, Fla., and the
late Maurice Rosenkrantz.
The future bridegroom is the
grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Irving
Stone of Atlanta, and Mrs. Ruth
Buchman of Tampa, Fla., and the
late Manuel Buchman.
She received her B.S. degree in
psychology from the University of
North Carolina and is planning to
attend graduate school in the fall.
He attended the University of
Georgia where he was a member of
Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. He is
employed by ZEP Manufacturing
Company in Pensacola, Fla.
The wedding is planned for June
29 at Temple Israel in Charlotte,
N.C.
Schwartz-Tucker
Mr and Mrs. Howard Schwartz
of Atlanta announced the en
gagement of their daughter, Marcy
Beth, to G. Vance Tucker, son of
Dr. and Mrs. William Tucker of
Fort Worth, Texas.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Farber of New York City, and Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Schwartz of
Miami Beach.
The future bridegroom is the
grandson of Mrs. Alva Jones of
Albany, Texas, and Mrs. William
Tucker of Wilson, N.C.
They each received bachelor’s
degrees from Duke University.
Ms. Schwartz is currently work
ing on her master’s degree in bio
psychology at the University of
Georgia and plans to continue with
research in the neurochemistry of
Alzheimer’s Disease for her PhD.
Mr. Tucker will receive his
M BA from the University of Mich
igan Business School in May and
will pursue a career in finance.
The wedding is planned for Jan
uary 4, 1987, at The Temple.
Rakestraw-Byck
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Welch of
Rockmart, Ga., announce the en
gagement of their daughter, Ms.
Peggy Lee Smith Rakestraw of
Augusta, to David Boley Byck of
Augusta, son of Mr. and Mrs.
David Amram Byck III of Sa
vannah.
Jhc bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Pete Coker and the
late Mrs. Coker of Dallas, Ga., and
M rs. H E. Brown and the late Mr.
Brown of Cartersville.
The future bridegroom is the
grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin
Wise Rothschild of Columbus, and
Mrs. David Amram Byck and the
late Mr. Byck.
Ms. Rakestraw is a June candi
date for graduation from the Med
ical College of Georgia and plans
to begin residency in family prac
tice at Carraway Hospital in Bir
mingham, Ala.
A graduate of Savannah Coun
try Day School and the University
of North Carolina, Mr. Byck is a
June candidate for graduation from
the Medical College of Georgia.
He plans an OB-GYN residency at
the University of Alabama Hospi
tal in Birmingham.
Peri Weinstein and Philip
Rosner, both of Atlanta, were mar
ried Feb. 23, at Congregation Etz
Chaim. Rabbi Shalom Lewis offi
ciated.
The bride is the daughter of
Rose Weinstein and the late Wil
liam Weinstein of New York City.
The bridegroom is the son of Mol-
lie Rosner and the late Sam Rosner
of Northbrook, 111
Matron of honor was the bride’s
sister, Emily Goldsmith. Best man
was Robert Levin of Atlanta. Also
participating in the ceremony were
Seth Rosner, the bridegroom’s
Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Byck Jr. of
Savannah announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Donna
Lynn Kelly, to Anthony Sidney
Eichholz, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Eichholz.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Mrs. Jack Kayton and
the late Kurt Appel, and Mrs.
Eugene A. Kelly Sr. and the late
Mr. Kelly.
The future bridegroom is the
grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Palefsky, and the late Mr.
and Mrs. Mose Eichholz.
Miss Kelly received a bachelor
son; Alicia Rosner, the bride
groom’s daughter; and Wendy
Goldsmith, the bride’s niece.
The bride is a graduate of
Downstate Medical Center in New
York City and practices as a regis
tered physical therapist at South
ern Orthopedic Clinic.
The bridegroom is a graduate of
Georgia State University, where he
received his Ph.D. in organization
al psychology. He is president of
Human Resource Development, an
Atlanta-based management consult
ing firm.
The couple lives in Marietta.

Mr. Eichholz received a bache
lor of arts degree in business ad
ministration from the University
of Georgia. He is employed by Ben

31 at Temple Mickve Israel.
Epstein-Zeffren
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Epstein of
Efrat, Israel, formerly of Atlanta,
announce the engagement of their
daughter, Donna Elizabeth, to Jon
athan Zeffren, son of Dr. and Mrs.
Lester Zeffren of St. Louis.
Miss Epstein is the granddaugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Epstein
of Memphis, Tenn., and the late
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Smelson of
Miami Beach.
The bride-elect graduated from
high school in Atlanta and pres
ently attends B’not Torah Institute
(Sharfman’s) in Jerusalem. The fu
ture bridegroom is presently learn
ing at Yeshiva Mishkan Hatorah
in Jerusalem and is pursuing a
master of education degree at Web
ster College in St. Louis.
Following a June 1986 wedding
in Israel, the couple will make their
home in Jerusalem.
