I he seminar was estab lished in 1970 to familiarize uni versity faculty with Israel’s politi cal, religious, social and cultural life. I he seminars encourage partici pants to confront their own sense of Jewish identity and to more fully participate in Jewish com munal life upon their return to the United States. This year’s trip will leave from New York on Sunday, Dec. 21, and return on Sunday, Jan. 4, 1987. The fee for the participants selected is $700. Spouses are wel come as full participants; their cost will be the full fee of $1,500. Crite ria for application include Jewish academicians up to the age of 45 who have not previously been to Israel. Anyone interested in receiving an application can call the AJC office, 233-5501. All applications must be received by June 15. The selection committee is being chaired by Drs.
