It runs 90 vocational schools, retirement and convales cent homes, Israel’s major sports organization, cultural center, theaters, newspapers and more.” Bachman added, “Twenty-five percent of Israel’s industry is owned by the Histadrut. The Histadrut thus has much in common with some of our industry here in the southeast. “We have a major story to tell,” he said, “and I consider it a privi lege to work with Herb Mabry in getting that story across.” Mabry welcomed the opportun ity to develop a closer relationship between Israel and the southeast. “American labor,” he said, “has been in the forefront of support for Israel for more than 60 years, long before the state was even estab lished. “This support,” Mabry added, “expresses itself in diverse ways both here in the United States and in many other countries. Organ ized labor also continues to give active assistance to the Histadrut’s educational and social welfare insti tutions.” A minute ago, yourbaby stopped breathing. Would you know what to do?
