Amy Sue Gordon marries Gary Wolff
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Shulman
announce the engagement of their
daughter, Susan, to David Tessel,
formerly of Johannesburg, South
Africa, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie
Tessel of La Jolla, Calif.
M iss Shulman is the grand
daughter of Mrs. Fannie Shulman
and the late Hyman Shulman, and
the late Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Fox
of Savannah and Atlanta.
Miss Shulman graduated summa
cum laude with a bachelor of arts
degree and master of science degree
from the University of Pennsylva
nia and is working on a doctorate
in curriculum development. She
works for the Board of Jewish
Education of New York and is the
coordinator of the BJE Westches
ter Teacher’s Center.
Mr. Tessel received his bachelor
of arts degree from the University
of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg,
and received a master of business
administration degree from the
Wharton School. He is in venture
capital in Manhattan.
The wedding is planned for Nov.
23, after which the couple will live
in Manhattan.

Jade-Ling Sykes
Mrs. Jill Filler of Atlanta an
nounces the marriage of her daugh
ter, Jade-Ling, to Ralph Hill Sykes,
in Las Vegas on April 20. Jade is
also the daughter of the late Sam
Filler, international snack food
manufacturer. She is the grand
daughter of Sam and Sylvia Feldser.
Mr. Sykes has a master’s degree
in engineering and is president of
the Hydro South Company.
They live in Atlanta.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Gordon
of New York City announce the
marriage of their daughter, Amy
Sue, to Gary Scott Wolff, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Lou Wolff of Kew
Gardens Hills, N.Y.
The wedding took place March
9 in Great Neck, N.Y., with Rabbi
Haskel Lookstein and Rabbi Fabian
Schonfeld officiating.
The bride is also the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William B. Wender
of Atlanta. She is the granddaugh
ter of Mrs. Freda Wender of Atlanta
and the late W. Max Wender, and
the late Rose and Aaron Block of
Nashville. The bridegroom is the
grandson of Mrs. Regina Coster of
New York City, and the late Samuel
Coster of Holland. He is also the
grandson of Mrs. Reny Wolff of
New York City and the late Nor-
bert Wolff.
The bride’s sister, Leslie Blum-
berg of Livingston, N.J., was ma
tron of honor. Bridesmaids were
her sisters, Carol Center of Atlanta,
Lana Wender of Minneapolis and
Susan Rosenzweig of Savannah;
and Melanie Goldman and Adena
Rosenthal of New York. Her cou
sin, Karen Levin of Greensboro,
kept the bride’s book.
Best man was the bridegroom’s
brother, Robert Wolff. Grooms
men were Jeff Sobo, Maury Gor
don, Alex Cooper, Alan Kreit, all
Miriam Ginsberg, Bruce Reisman wed
Mr. and Mrs. Noah Ginsberg of
Wallace, N.C., announce the mar
riage of their daughter, Miriam
Vickie, to Bruce Ivan Reisman,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Reis
man of Atlanta.
The ceremony was held at the
Atlanta Botanical Gardens in Pied
mont Park on Sunday, July 6, with
Rabbi Arnold Goodman and Can
tor Isaac Goodfriend officiating.
