v.*», ^ - » ' ••■■ « •**-*?. \ ** ■ ' ' AJF invites local agencies to Leadership Colloquium The Atlanta Jewish Federation is offering a community-wide Lead ership Colloquium for board mem bers and professional staff of all beneficiary agencies, according to Terri Bagen, chairman of the Fed eration’s Leadership Development Committee. The program, designed to im prove communication, organiza tion, listening, management and decision-making skills, will take place on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jewish Home. Marc Levin, nationally known management consultant from Philadelphia, will conduct the colloquium. According to Jody Franco, chairman, Levin’s presen tation will be “a dynamic leader ship awareness experience.” Levin is founder of Levin Asso ciates and specializes in manage ment development and productiv ity improvement for organizations, both profit and non-profit. He is Seven Atlantans attended the United Jewish Appeal’s Southern Region Women’s Division Confer ence held in Savannah, Aug. 1-3. Lois Blonder is regional chairman and president of the Atlanta Jew ish Federation’s Women’s Council. Others attending included Laura Dinerman, Judith Cohen, Billie Feinman, Harriet Zimmerman, Rosanne Zinn and Federation staff member Margaret Weiller. Highlights of the weekend in cluded a Lion of Judah Luncheon the author of “Systemanagement,” a comprehensive management and productivity development program, and has served as consultant to numerous organizations, including the Federation of Jewish Agencies, Philadelphia; Council of Jewish for $5,000-and-over contributors to the 1987 Campaign, and a report by Billie Feinman on her recent visit to the Soviet Union. Dan Elazar, served as scholar-in-resi dence. Participants also attended workshops, exploring the case for Campaign ’87, Project Renewal developments, the UJA Missions program, and politics here and in Israel. Elizabeth Holtzman, Dis trict Attorney in New York, was a keynote speaker. Federations, New York; and To ronto’s UJA Campaign. Atlanta organizations participa ting in the colloquium are: Atlanta Bureau of Jewish Education; Athens Hillel; Atlanta Hillel; Atlanta Jew ish Community Center; Atlanta Jewish Federation; B’nai B’rith Youth Organization; Jewish Chil dren’s Service; Jewish Family Ser vices; the Jewish Home; Jewish Vocational Service; Louis Kahn Group Home; Epstein School; Hebrew Academy and Yeshiva High School. Bruce Gaynes, Marianne Garber, Barbara Klineman and Jeff Snow serve on the Federation subcom mittee which is planning and or ganizing the colloquium.
