Growing congregation seeks members, rabbi Where there s a will, there’s a way takes on a special meaning for the leaders of the United Jewish Congregation of Rockdale-Newton. The congregation has been meet ing for some six years despite the fact that there are not enough fami lies to support a full-time or part- time rabbi. Sixty presidents and vice presi dents of 27 BBYO chapters from Georgia and South Carolina will participate in a weekend of learn ing, experiencing and sharing with their counterparts in other BBYO chapters. The young leaders will discuss planning a community service or Judaic program, how to run a meeting, delegating responsibility, and Federations and B’nai B’rith. New Sisterhood formed at Kehillat Chaim Members of Congregation Kehil lat Chaim have recently formed a sisterhood.
