The store will be open through special arrangement. All purchases made during the evening will be paid for by check to B’nai Torah. Refreshments will be served. ABJE presents 1986-87 special education program The Atlanta Bureau of Jewish Education announces the continu ation of its special education pro grams for the 1986-87 academic year. For over 15 years the bureau has provided programming for spe cial needs students of all ages. The Special Education Department has two sections to serve the Atlanta community. Havanah (understand ing). creates a positive and helpful atmosphere in which mentally dis abled students can study and learn about their Jewish heritage. Atlanta City of Hope to have luncheon The Atlanta Chapter City of Hope will hold its opening fall lun cheon at noon Monday, Sept. 8, at Holiday Inn, 4386Chamblee-Dun- woody Road. Arlene Peck, TV personality, columnist and humor ist, will be the speaker. There will be a raffle drawing for a television set and a Mr. Coffee coffee maker, and door prizes will be given. B’nai B’rith Women to hold Silver Tea benefit The Atlanta Council of B’nai B’rith Women will hold a Silver Tea to benefit the BBW Child ren’s Home in Israel from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Hyatt Ravinia Hotel across from Perime ter Mall. Lynne Alpern and Esther Blumenfeld, authors of “Oh, Lord, I Sound Just Like Mama” and “The Smile Connection: How to Use Humor In Dealing With Peo ple,” will address the group. Levels of donation are Silver, $25; Double Chai, $36; Gift of Love, $50; Abba and Ima, $100; and the Menorah Club, $ 100 a year for seven years. Cost of the tea is $10 a person.
