The program will take place at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Emory University’s Cannon Chapel. Sponsored by B’nai B’rith, the Grass Roots Action Network (GRAN), B’nai B’rith Women, and Atlanta Hillel, the forum is free and open to the community. Club 50 to hold membership brunch AJCC’s Club 50 will hold its annual membership brunch at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the AJCC/Peachtree. NCJW to conduct parent education course The Family Outreach Center, a project of the National Council of Jewish Women, will conduct par ent education courses beginning in mid-September. Deborah Weiner Deborah Weiner to be featured by Na’Amat Deborah Weiner, Eastern area coordinator of Na’Amat USA, will be in Atlanta Saturday, Sept. 6 to meet with the members of Golda Meir Chapter at the home of Shir ley Ruskin, president. Board mem bers Na’Amat Group 1 will meet with her Sunday. Mrs. Weiner is active in her Copiague, N.Y. community. A member of Na’Amat USA for 25 years, she has served as president of the Long Island Council three times and is leadership training chairman. Currently she is on the board of the Conference of Jewish Organizations of Nassau County. Mt. Scopus Hadassah to hear Chana Shapiro “Come Hear a Treasure” is the title of the opening meeting of Mount Scopus Hadassah, to be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the Hebrew Academy. Robert Evans to address Ahava on Middle East Robert Mayer Evans, former CBS foreign news correspondent, will speak to Ahava, the over 60s group at Ahavath Achim Syna gogue, at noon Wednesday, Sept. 10. He will focus on issues of stra tegic and political concern regard ing Israel and the Middle East which have had heavy media atten tion. Lunch is $2.50.
