The Southern Baptist Conven tion and the Synagogue Council of America, representing the congre gational and rabbinic organizations of Conservative, Orthodox and Re form Judaism, will hold a two-day consultation on “The Family: Cor nerstone of Society,” Sept. 8-9 at Emory University. Prominent Christian and Jewish scholars will address such themes as: family problems in today’s so ciety, intermarriage and singles in today’s world; marriage and di vorce; the concerns children face and how our religious communi ties have sought solutions to these problems. that members of the official Jewish religious community and the Southern Baptist Convention have met on a major topic of concern.
