Organizations Special Ed. Hebrew class forming The Atlanta Bureau of Jewish Education announces the forma tion of a special education Hebrew language class. Registrations are being taken through the Bureau’s Special Education Department’s Amit program for learning-disabled youngsters. The class will meet on Tuesday afternoons from 5:15-6:15 p.m. at Congregation B’nai Torah, 700 Mt. Vernon Highway. The class is open to all youngsters with learning disabilities. The instructor for the class. Dr. Neurim Hadassah to meet at Jewish Tower Neurim Hadassah will host Hadassah’s national treasurer, Deborah Kaplan, at 2 p.m. Wed nesday, Sept. 24, at the Jewish Tower. Ms. Kaplan will speak on Hadassah’s latest accomplishments. Dessert will be served. Guests are welcome. Beth Shalom announces courses in Judaica Congregation Beth Shalom is offering a course in basic Judaism on Tuesday evenings at 8:15 p.m. The class is open to members of the Jewish faith and to anyone think ing about converting. A basic He brew reading class, conversational classes and an adult bar / batmitzva class will also be offered on Tues day nights. Classes are open to the commun ity. A. 1 Sukkah Construction Company is now taking orders for individual custom-built sukkot. Entering its second year of opera tion, A.A.l is a special project of the Ahavath Achim Family and Adult Activities Committee for members who are unable to build their own sukka in time for the holiday. A. A. I can make sukkot to meet any family’s space requirements. The cost of a sukka will depend on size. To order a sukka, call Ahavath Achim, 355-5222. The deadline for ordering is Sept. 19. B’nai Torah Brotherhood to hear Mike Fratello Mike'Fratello, coach of the Atlanta Hawks, will be honored by the brotherhood of Congregation B’nai Torah at a banquet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at the syn agogue. Fratello was the coach of the year in the NBA for the 1985-86 basketball season. A hot dog dinner will be served. Cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children. Daniel Dahan, has taught in the Bureau’s special education program and has developed a special pro gram for teaching learning-disabled students Hebrew. The Ein Karem Chapter of Hadassah will hold its annual auc tion to benefit the Hadassah Medi cal Organization on Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Mill Glen Clubhouse in Dunwoody. A deli dinner, including beer and wine, will be served during the silent auction, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The main auction, beginning at 8:30 p.m., will include hotel get away weekends, gift certificates NCJW, Rich’s to hold fashion show and brunch The National Council of Jewish Women, Atlanta Section, and Rich’s will hold their annual brunch and fashion show at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at Rich’s Regency Shops, Lenox Square. Admission to the show is by donation of any of the following: one designer outfit or fur; three gently-worn articles of high quality clothing on hangers; five items of housewares or appliances in work ing order; or three volunteer hours prior to Bargainata. Rishona girls visit Louis Kahn Home The Rishona girls of Camp AJECOMCE, led by counselor Glenda Broder, recently visited the residents at the Louis Kahn Group Home. On their first visit, the girls played bingo with the residents. The following week they brought fresh challah baked by themselves that morning. They also put on a talent show. Rebecca Lebow brought a macrame plant hanger, which will hang in the home’s liv ing room. On both visits, the girls joined the residents for lunch. Ahavath Achim’s Junior Kadima (fifth and sixth grades), Kadima (seventh and eighth grades) and USY (ninth-12th grades) will be going to White Water Sunday, Sept. 14. The group will leave the synagogue at 1 p.m. and will return at 5 p.m. Cost is $13 a person. For reservations, call 355-3324. A fur fashion show presented by Helen Frushtick of James Hirsch Inc. will be modeled by sisterhood members. Cost of the luncheon and fashion show is $5. Guests are welcome.
