G reenhouse at Jewish Home in full bloom for residents The Auxiliary of the Jewish Home launched its first formal project, the Rich Foundation Greenhouse, with a dedication ceremony held Sunday, Sept. 21 in the Jewish Home garden. The Auxiliary greenhouse com mittee headed by Sandra Epstein, stocked the greenhouse with color ful plants for the ceremony. Mrs. Epstein is working with co-chair men Elsa Goldberg, Blanche Kahn and Jackie Wolf, who are in charge of volunteer coordination for the project. The concept of the greenhouse is therapeutic in nature. It will pro vide a new environment in which Home residents can experience the beauty of living, growing plants. Many plants familiar to the resi dents from childhood memories will be in the greenhouse stock, including violets, daisies and sweet williams. According to Mrs. Epstein, Auxi liary plans for the greenhouse in clude future projects such as forc ing bulbs and planting them in pots, so that their blooms will bring springtime into the Home during the winter months. One special variety of daffodil bulb that she is planning to use comes from the state of Israel. Horticul tural programming will also be provided for residents of the Jew ish Tower.
