Yeshiva High PTA plans annual Sukka Hop Yeshiva High School PTA will holds its 10th annual Sukka Hop beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22. Hors d’oeuvres will be served in the sukka of Drs. Cynthia and Gerald Shulman, 1427 Sheridan Walk, #9A, Atlanta, followed by a dairy dinner at location^ to be announced. Sukka celebration planned at Beth Jacob Congregation Beth Jacob will hold its annual sukka celebration for the entire family from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the syna gogue. The celebration is a commemo ration of the Simchat Beit Ha- Shoeva, the traditional annual fes tivities dating back to The Temple period. Food will be available at nomi nal prices. The event is sponsored by Beth Jacob’s Teen Youth Group, Taryag NCSY. Annual races slated for Nov. 2 at AJCC The Atlanta Jewish Community Center’s seventh annual 10K Free dom Run and 5K Bagel Run will take place Sunday, Nov. 2. The races begin at 10a.m. at the AJCC/ Zaban branch. The cost is $6 for pre-registration; $8 on race day. Awards will be given to the top three finishers. All runners will be given T-shirts and a bagel breakfast. The Temple to hold annual Sukkot picnic The Temple will hold its annual Sukkot picnic at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, on The Temple lawn. Festivities will include holiday stories, songs and games, sukka decorating and Israeli dancing. Rain or shine, the celebration will go on. Wildwood Pines to tour Jeb Morgan Herb Farm The Wildwood Pines Garden Club will hold its next meeting on Oct. 20, at the Jeb Morgan Herb Farm in Acworth, Ga. There will be a motorcade leaving from the West Paces Ferry Shopping Cen ter near the A&P at 9:30 a.m. A lecture and tour of the Herb Farm will be presented. Noah Levine to speak at Beth Shalom Oct. 17 Noah Levine, director of com munity relations of the Atlanta Jewish Federation, will speak on the first night of Sukkot at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Congregation Beth Shalom. Levine, who recently returned from a visit to the Soviet Union with a group of 18 other Atlantans, will speak of his experiences and impressions.
