Bonds Reinvestment Sunday is

Bond Reinvestment Sunday cam
paign from 9:30 a.m.-noon Sun-
cay, Nov. 2, when friends who
bought Israel Bonds in late 1971
and 1972 can redeem their securi-
iiwS as much as 14 months before
maturity dates.
Asher Benator, general chair
man of the Israel Bond campaign
in Atlanta, pointed out that these
15-year bonds are normally due
to mature next year.
“The state of Israel,” he said,
“is offering up to 14 months of
advanced interest to the regis
tered owner of the bonds pro
vided funds are added and the
bonds are reinvested immediate
ly-”
He continued: “Many congre
gations in our community sup-
port the Israel Bond program to
mobilize investment capital for
Israel s economic development
each year. That is why we have
chosen the synagogues as the
best locations for Reinvestment
Sunday. Israel Bond volunteers
and members of the local Israel
Bond staff will thus be able to
accommodate bondholders close
to their homes.”
Kenneth Levy, reinvestment
chairman, believes “there are
many people in our community
who hold bonds which have al
ready matured. These securities
do not increase in value beyond
the maturity date. We urge these
friends of Israel to redeem these
matured bonds and to reinvest in
new bonds. Neither the state of
Israel nor the bond owner receive
any benefit from matured bonds
sitting in a safe deposit box.”
Bond owners who cannot visit
a synagogue in their neighbor
hood on Reinvestment Sunday
can call the Israel Bond Office,
2250 North Druid Hills Road,
634-9500, for information and
forms for reinvestment.
Synagogues where bond holders
can effect early reinvestment are
Ahavath Achim, 600 Peachtree
Battle Avenue, N. W.; Or VeSha-
lom, 1681 North Druid Hills Road,
N.E.; Temple Emanu-El, 1580
Spalding Drive, Durtwoody; and
Temple Sinai, 5645 Dupree Drive,
N.W.
