Niren, M.D. of At lanta has opened an office for the practice of dermatology and dermatologic surgery in the North Fulton Medical Arts Center in Roswell. Dr. Niren attended Boston University’s accelerated B.A.- M.D. program following high school graduation. She received her medical degree from Boston University in 1982. After a medi cal internship at Brown Univer sity in Rhode Island, she com pleted her dermatology residency at Emory University Hospital. She is married to Philip Hayet, an electrical engineer and a senior consultant with an Atlanta-based firm. * * * Joan M. Stuart has joined Atlanta Area Services for the Blind as development director. Ms. Stuart’s areas of responsibil ity include financial development and community affairs. Atlanta Area Services for the Blind (a United Way agency), offers various courses and servi ces to blind and visually impaired individuals, providing an oppor tunity to achieve optimal inde pendence and self-confidence. Ms. Stuart is a member of Chevra Chapter, B’nai B’rith Women. Savannah realtor Harriet Konter has been elected presi dent of the Georgia Association of Realtors for 1987. She is the first woman to head the 20,000- member organization in its 66- year history. Mrs. Konter, vice president of Konter Realty Company, is pres ident of the Savannah Board of Realtors. She is a former presi dent of the Jewish Educational Alliance Women’s Club, has served as a director of the JEA, is a past president of B’nai B’rith Women in Savannah, receiving its Woman of the Year Award, and is active in Savannah Wom en’s Network. She is married to realtor Larry Konter. * * * Linda A. Klein has joined the law firm of Martin, Cavan & Anderson as an associate. Ms. Klein is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Bar of the District of Columbia and the American and Atlanta Bar Associations. She serves on the board of directors of the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers and is chair man of its Commission on Uni form Rules of Court. She is a 1983 graduate of Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she was a Burks Scholar teaching fellow and a member of the National Moot Court team. * * * Video Warehouse is now offer ing a special service for the han dicapped and elderly who would like to rent video tapes but have difficulty getting in and out of their cars. According to Steve Goodman, president of the company, “All one has to do is call any of our five locations, tell us what movies they want, give us their member ship number, form of payment and what the car looks like, and we will deliver the movies as soon as they pull up and honk the horn.” There is no additional cost for the service and interested per sons can call for the lists of movies. Sonya and Debra Rothenberg, mother and daughter agents at Harry Norman, Realtors Dun- woody Office, have been named to the Atlanta Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club and the Harry Norman, Realtors Million Dollar Council. Sonya Rothenberg began her real estate career in upstate New York in 1972 and soon became a million-dollar producer and was an Agent of the Year for five con secutive years. In 1979 she moved to Atlanta and joined Harry Norman, Realtors Dunwoody office. Debra joined her mother in real estate in 1982 after graduat ing from Syracuse University with a degree in marketing.
