The bride is the daugher of
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Frank of
Atlanta. She is the granddaugh
ter of the late Mary and Louis
Teplis of Atlanta, and the late
Bessie and Harry Frank of Buf
falo, N.Y.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Katz of
Lauderhill, Fla. He is the grand
son of the late Rose and Samuel
Nutinsky of Philadelphia, and
the late Bessie and Phillip Katz
of Newark, N.J..
Maid of honor was Sharon
Friedman of Atlanta, sister of
the bride. Matron of honor was
Bette Katz and bridesmaid was
Rachel Katz, both of East Bruns
wick, N.J.
Best man was Marvin Katz of
East Brunswick, N.J., brother of
the bridegroom. Groomsmen were
Jeff Dinnerman of Dix Hills,
N.Y., Ross Katz of East Bruns
wick, and Louis Teplis and Gary
Teplis both of Atlanta.
The bride is employed as a
property manager for the Calibre
Company of Georgia.
The bridegroom is a graduate
of Long Island University and is
vice president and general man
ager of the Great Southern Com
pany.
After a honeymoon on Para
dise Island, the couple is living in
Atlanta.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Cerel of
Atlanta announce the marriage
of their daughter, Sylvia Lee, to
Jose Antonio Bowen, son of Pro
fessor Wayne Bowen and Mrs.
Celina Bowen of Fresno, Calif.
The bride is the granddaughter
of Robert and Sylvia Cohen of
Lexington. Ky., and the late Max
and Mae Cerel of Providence.

The bridegroom is the grand
son of the late Enrique and Car
men Andux of Havana, Cuba,
and Mrs. Annazetta Bowen of
Sacramento, Calif., and the late
Mark Bowen.
The ceremony was held Aug.
30 at Callenwolde, with Rabbi
Philip Kranz and Cantor Sid
Gottler officiating. A reception
and dinner dance followed.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her parents. The maid of
honor was Julie Cerel, sister of
the bride. Bridesmaids were Lisa
Block of Atlanta, Terry Sabonis-
Chafee of West Palm Beach, Fla.,
and Berit Madsen of Palo Alto,
Calif.
Best man was Juan Bowen,
brother of the bridegroom, of
Moorpark, Calif. Groomsmen
were Adam Grossmen of New
York, Kraig Robson of Chicago
and Mohammed Diab of Ather
ton, Calif.
Junior bridesmaids were Bar-
Miss Greene, Mr. Cohen engaged
Ms. Susan R. Greene and
Robert L. Greene of Atlanta an
nounce the engagement of their
daughter, Ruth Lillian of Sa
vannah, to George Soloman John
Cohen, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.J.
Cohen of Savannah.
A graduate of Tucker High
School, Ms. Greene received a
bachelor of fine arts degree in
illustration from Savannah Col
lege of Art and Design. She is
director of administrative sup
port at Doctor Windshield/Vi-
nylman.
She is the granddaughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Greene
of the Bronx, N.Y., and Mrs.
Samuel Kanofsky of Miami and
the late Mr. Kanofsky.
Mr. Cohen, a graduate of Beach
High School, is owner and presi
dent of Doctor Windshield/Vi-
nylman.
He is the grandson of Mrs.
A.J. Cohen Sr. of Savannah and
the late Mr. Cohen, and Mrs. Irv
ing Stein of New York and the
late Mr. Stein.
The wedding is planned for
June 1987.

Mrs. Bowen is a graduate of
the Westminster Schools and
Emory University, where she re
ceived a bachelor of arts degree
in art history and chemistry. She
is a medical student at Stanford
University.
Mr. Bown is a graduate of
Stanford University where he
received a bachelor of science
degree in chemistry and a mas
ter’s degree in humanities. He is
the director of the Stanford Jazz
Ensemble and is on the faculty of
the Stanford University Depart
ment of Music.
After a honeymoon in Yosem-
ite, the couple is living in Ather
ton.
