Miss Wenger to wed Dr. Wiatrak
Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey I.evine
M iss Grocoff and Mr. Levine are wed
Susan Amy Grocoff and Jef
frey Stewart Levine were mar
ried Sept. 7 at Congregation Or
VeShalom. Rabbi S. Robert Ichay
officiated. A dinner reception
followed at Quinn’s Mill res
taurant.
The bride was escorted down
the aisle by her parents. Phyllis
and Theodore Grocoff, who re
cently moved back to Atlanta
from Israel.
The bridegroom, the son of
Mrs. Emily Levine and the late
George Levine, was escorted dow n
the aisle by his mother and uncle,
Ralph Benator of Atlanta.
Maid of honor was Mindy
Laack of Atlanta. Bridesmaids
were Doris Corona and Wendy
Zuck-Harrison
Jeffrey Harrison and Michele
Zuck are to be married Friday,
Dec. 5, in Lauderhill, Fla.
Michele is the daughter of
Esther Zuck of Lauderhill, Fla.,
and the late David Zuck. She is a
graduate of the University of
Buffalo with a degree in educa
tion. She is sales manager of
Modica, an after-5 fashion house
in New York.
Jeffrey is the son of Gert and
Fred Scheer of Atlanta, and the
late Harry Harrison. He is a
graduate of the University of
Georgia with a degree in journal
ism. He is vice-president of Inter
national Professional Meeting
Coordinators in New York.
After a honeymoon in Rio de
Janeiro, the couple will live in
New York.
Sharf-Filreis
Mr. and Mrs. Burt A. Sharf of
Fairfax, Va. announce the en
gagement of their daughter, Ellen
Beth, to Stephen Marc Filreis,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Fil
reis of Phoenix, Ari/.
M iss Sharf is a graduate of the
Mclntire School of Commerce at
the University of Virginia. She is
a trust officer with the Citizens
and Southern National Bank.
Mr. Filreis was graduated from
the Emory University School of
Business Administration. He is
employed by the Coca-Cola
Company as a supervisor in
headquarters accounting.
A March 1987 wedding is
planned.
Grocoff, both of Atlanta. Donna
Levine of Atlanta kept the bride’s
book.
Best man was Neal I evine of
Atlanta. Groomsmen were Jay
Hilliard and Andrew Wehrenberg,
both of Atlanta.
After a honeymoon at Sandals
in Montego Bay, the couple is
living in Atlanta.
Dr. and Mrs. Julius Wenger of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Deborah Anne,
to Dr. Brian Jeffrey Wiatrak, son
of Dr. and Mrs. Sanford J. Wia
trak of West Bloomfield, Mich.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abra
ham Wenger of Miami Beach,
Fla., and Mrs. Aaron Kass of
Atlanta and the late Aaron Kass.
The future bridegroom is the
grandson of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Bernard Wiatrak, and Dave
Fischer of Southfield, Mich, and
the late Mrs. Dave Fischer.
Ms. Wenger received her bach
elor of science degree from Emory
U niversity and her master’s degree
in pharmacology from the Medi
cal College of Georgia. She is a
Ph.I). candidate in neurophysi
ology at the University of Cin
cinnati College of Medicine.
Dr. Wiatrak is a graduate of
the University of Michigan and
the University of Michigan School
of Medicine. He is a resident in
otolaryngology at the University
of Cincinnati Medical Center.
An April 1987 wedding is
planned in Atlanta. The couple
will live in Cincinnati.
