Jewish Home Auxiliary The Jewish Home Auxiliary will host a combination New Year’s Eve and December Birth day Party at 7:30 p.m. Wednes day, Dec. 31 in Garson Audito rium. Eli Frisch and his Tempo Band will entertain. Arlene Kopelman and her as sistants Eleanor Vrono, Elaine Sackett and Mona Blumenthal have arranged the refreshments and gifts and invite families and friends of the honorees to attend. The residents to be honored are Sadie Carfield, Vera Cron- heim, Gladys Fried, Rose Fuhr, Fannie Goldstein, Frieda Kar- lick. Goldie Manning, Anne Winter Meyer, Susie Papouchado, Bertha Saul, Yetta Zucker and Sarah Zuckerman. Beth Jacob Congregation Beth Jacob will hold a Hanuka dinner and raffle at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at the synagogue. There will be a drawing for two tickets to Israel. Entertain ment includes a mime show, play let and a sing-along. Tickets for adults are $6, $4 for children, ages 3-11. For more information, call Yossi or Jill Ovadia. Knights of Pythias Peachtree Lodge # 100, Knights of Pythias invites knights new to Atlanta to join their lodge. Outreach Center The Family Outreach Center, a project of NCJW, will conduct parent education courses begin ning in late January 1987. Courses will be offered for parents of pre-school and ele mentary aged children, and for parents of teenagers. Day and evening groups are scheduled. Couples and individ uals are invited. Courses will be held at the Family Outreach Center, 120 Copeland Road, Suite 252, in Sandy Springs. For more information or to register, call 255-3604. Mt. Scopus Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hadassah will have its next book review on 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the home of Lois Cohen, 2704 Galahad Drive. “A Certain Peo ple” will be reviewed by Ludah Kogen. AJCC Adult Services AJCC Adult Services will hold a five-week memory workshop from 1 to 2 p.m. on Fridays, from Jan. 9 to Feb. 2. at AJCC,/ Peach tree. Nora Stahlman Shop The Atlanta Jewish Commun ity Center Gilt Shop is filled with an array of gifts tor Hanuka and •year-round gift giving. A night’s shelter Bob Nemo, Rabbi Alvin Sugarman and supervisor Vickie Breman at opening night, Nov. 1, at The Temple Night Shelter for Homeless C ouples. Six couples, from the 6,000 homeless people anticipated for this year, were cared for on the first night of operation of their fourth season. The shelter can accommodate 12 couples, with private ‘bed rooms,’ w hich double as religious school classrooms during the week and on Sunday.
