RULE NISI.
T HE petition of Thompson Collins sheweth, that
Elijah H. Reid, James P. Heath, and Michael
Brown, heretofore, to wit: on the 9th of February eigh
teen hundred and thirty-one, made, executed, and de
livered to your pel ilianer their entire deed of mortgage,
conveying thereby to your petitioner, all those two
tracts of land, situate, lying and being in the fourth
District of said county, and known and distinguished in
the plan ofthe same, as Lots No, 27, and 23* in tho
fourth District, containing tour hundred, eighty-seven
and one hulf Acres, rmw or iess, which Lots of Land
were mortgaged to your petitioner for the better secur
ing the payment ofa certain promissory note, made by
the said Elijah It. Kind to your petitioner for tho sum
of two thousand dollars, payable on tho firat of July,
eighteen hundred and thirty, and tinted the ninth
of September, eighteen hundred and thirty, and now
hero shewn to the Court; and your petitioner further
sheweth, that there is now due on said note, tho whole
of the principal and interest, and therefore prays that
unless the said Elijah H- liied, James P. Heath and
Michael Brown, do pay into the Clerks Office of this
Court, the amount ofthe principal and interest now
due, or which may become due on said note and mort
gage, together with all cost whicli hath or may accrue
herein, within six months from the date hereof, that the
equity of redemption in and to tho said mortgaged pre
mises be henceforth and forever barred and foreclosed.
Whereupon, on motion of Samuel A. Wales, attorney
far petitioners, it is ordered by the Cqurt, that unless
the amount of principal, interest and cost, now due or
to bcco.ne title on said note and mortgage, be paid into
the Clerks Office of this Court within the time afore,
said, that the equity of (pdemption in, and to said
mortgaged premises, be thenceforth and forever bar
red and foreclosed. And it is further ordered, that a
copy of this rule bo published once a month for six
months in some onp ofthe publio Gazettes of this Slate,
or be personally served .'on the said Elijah H. Ried,
James P. ilcath, and Michael Brown, three months be
fore the expiration of this rule.

January let, 1831, for the sum of fourteen Dollars,with
a credit on the same, 2d January, 1831, for one dollar
fifty-six and a quarter cents,and one other credit on the
6th Mey, 1831, for 50 cents.
Ordered, that all persons interested shew cause qn
or before the first day of the next term of this Court,
why a copy of said note should not ba 'established in
lieu of said original so lost or mislaid, that said copy be
filed with the Clerk, and this rule published monthly in
one of the public Gazettes of this State.

ther appearing, that tho said -Anderson Watson has
paid up for said land, and thattho said John Black de
parted this life without making titles to the same: It is

Factory. About ono quarter of a mile below the mills
is a splendid Shoal, where an extensive Iron Factury
can be established, and judges who have examined
tho mines upon the premises, pronounce them rich and
inexhaustible. Fcreons wanting such property will do
well to visit the premises, and jndga for themselves,
and then call and ace the subscriber. They are best
known as Bogan’s Mills, about 7 miles from Lawrence-

T HE Trustees have engaged an able and experi
enced teacher, Mr. BROWN, to lake charge of
this Institution; and it is flow in successful operation.
Tho mode of teaching is upon tho now and most ap
proved plan. It is interesting to the pupil; for while
ho is thoroughly taught, he is made to reason and re
flect for himself, and to leel at every step that his im
provement and his success in life, dopenda upon his
own exertions.
The course of studies is intended to give youths of
both sexes u familiar knowledge of all the branches of
education, and to prepate young men for College; and
at tho same time give them a taste for learning and
study. As lunching school is an important profession,
one class rcccivhsa particular course of instruction for
that purpose. The manners, morals, company, and
habits ofthe plipils, will receive strict attention.
Pupils may have heard under tlie parpntal care nf
respectable families for (1 25 to 81 75 cents, per week.
Tuition from 10, to $24 pet annum. Languages, Rhe
toric, Chemistry, Mathematics, &c. f24. The village
is naturally pleasant; the seat uf health,much resorted
to by rcspectablo strangers visiting the Mountains,
Falls, Gold Region and Nation. The Trustees can re
commend the learning, industry, and devotion of the
principal, to tho full confidence of parents who wish to
give their sons and daughters a sound education on
