ABSENTED herfelf from the fubferi
ber on Friday evening last, a Negro
Girl named SARAH, about 20 years of
age, of a yellowilh complexion, stout,
active and well made. She is fuppofetl to
be about Augusta ; flie formerly belonged
to a Mr. Brach, and has been hired at
Mr. Darby’s cotton gin for nearly two
years. Whoever will return fa id negro to
me, shall receive the above reward and all
necessary charge'.

secuted to the utmost rigor of the law.

Line of Stages.
THE Proprietors have to inform the
Public, that the AUGUSTA and
SAVANNAH. STAGE, will in future
run once a week—lt will leave Au
gusta every Saturday Morning at seven
o’clock, and arrive at Savannah on Mon
day Morning nine o’clock j returning,
leave Savannah on Tuefday one o’clock,
p m. and arrive at Angutia onThurfday
afternoon.
Fare for PilTengers, nine dollars,
with an allowance of 141 b. baggngr—all
extra baggage 7 cents per lb.—All bag
gage to be at the rilk of the owners.
The Proprietors think proper to
that they find it impossible that they can
afford the terms of patfige at the former
price of eight dollars, ss they are now com
pelled to give at least one third more for
Forrage than they have hitherto done.

with a chain, wrought in a plated manner,
and a key, only. gilt. Whoever may h::ve

turn it, if otherwise, I will give eight dol
lars for the Watch, or the Watch itfelf, if
recovered, for the fifeher, or in plain
words for the thief.

ON the 13th April lafl, a NEGRO
MAN, w<io fays his name is SAM,
about 30 vears of age, five feet ten inches
high, fays he was the property of Willia n
Lighten, of Charleston, who Hied a few
months since, that his master gave him a
pass to hire himfelf ont, and that he went
to Savannah, where he was confined in
Jail, from which place he made his escape
and came to Augusta. The owner is a
gain requested to come forward, prove his
property, pay charges and take him away.
