Quite an amusing encounter took
tdace yesterday afternoon on Jackson
•tract. Two email negro boys got in
h difficulty and started In foe a lively
scrap. While they were going It heavy,

seemed to have a grievance trearmed
against both the contestants.
He proceeded to get mixed up In the
affair and got even with both, leaving
them after he had finished to settle

crop prospect. In Georgia. Mr. Nes
bitt estimates the loss of corn from
overflowing and lneeraaot rains at one
million bushels, and says it may ex
ceed that amount. Cotton Is badly
damaged In this county and will he
cut off at least 25 per cent from the
parly August prospect. So for very
little staple has been received here,
and it is of Inferior quality. The
