REAPING A The numerous new hous- HARVKST. es that are practktully completed In Augusla are affording a rich harvest to the many wood gath erers. There refuse “pickers' ” name, is legion*, and are of all descriptions from ithe little ragged urchin to the old and feeble of lioth faces. When the refuse of the builders Is being cleaned away, many scraps of lumber are upturned. These are given to the scavengers, and each evening they can be seen wending their way homeward with huge bun dles of wood on their heads.
