Spartanburg. 8. C.. Ocl. 29.—The re- I
mains of the latp Hyder B. Farrow ar
rived in the city yesterday on the ves
tibule southbound from Gaffney a little
after noon. A good representation of
friends and relatives of the deceased
were present at the depot to meet the
body.
The casket was immediately taken
to the old cemetery and interred.
Rev. C. E. Robertson performed the
funeral eerivees.

Miss Blanche O'Brien to the altar, and

New York city; Miss Florence Strat
ton, Memphis: Mlaa Mamie Boucher.

The crowning beauty of the brilliant
costuming was sc'n In the bridal
gowns, of white satin ->n train, with
trimmings of duehessc lace. The veils
were of exquisite texture and the brides
carried white Ivory prayerbooks. while
the Y-ridal bouquets were composed of
lilies of the valley and maiden hair
fern, tied with Innumerable strands o.
white sa'in ribbon. The flowers were
caught, at intervals tin-,ugh these
strands, which reached almost to the
hems of the dresses.
With gorgeous decorations the cele
bration of the grand miptlaj high mass
and distinguished cotppaifV, the wed
ding was one of the most brilliant ever
celebrated in the South.
After the ceremony an elaliorate re
ception was held at the home °* Mts.
O'Brien, lasting until 10 o’clock this
evening, when the bridal couples left
on a wedding tour through the west.
Dr. and Mrs. Hassell will reside at No.
207 West 107th street. New York city.
Mr. and Mrs. Washington will reside
in Chattanooga.
Besides members of Chattanooga and
other Southern society, the guests In
cluded Colonel M. J. O'Brien, Mr. and

years. She was the founder and moth
er of the Episcopal church In Edge
