Oconee and Western Road Sold to the W. & T. Dublin. Oa.. Oct. 29. The adjourn ed term of the Uuirens superior court, which was to he held next week, has been postponed one week, aud wtll be gin on November 7. Judge Hart has sent an order to the court to tbl» ef fect. There was some doubt expressed by lending lawyers here na to the legality of adjourning the court during vaca tion, which was done last July. Had the court been held as adjourned, in many cases appeals would have been carried to higher courts on this ground. To prevent this, Judge Hart has va cated that order, and called a special term for the first Monday in Novem ber. when the same jury will serve. It Is reported here that the Oconee and Western railroad has been sold to the WrlghUtvUle and Tennllle. Gene ral Manager England of the former road is now in New York, it is said, to close tho trade. The Oconee and Western is 40 miles long, running from this place to Hawklnsville, crossing the Southern at Empire. The Augusta Southern tried to buy it last year and at one time It was thought that It had don© so, but the negotiations fell through. The Wrightsville and Tennllle is a valuable feeder to the Central, and if it secures the Oconee and Western will prove more so. OABTORIA.
