Drew Up Some Peculiar
Articles from His Well
Ezra Cobham. a-n old colored man,
who resides in Aiken county, came
to the city .this morning and related
to several persons, among them a
Herald reporter, of a rather unusual
find he made in a well on his place.
The old man says he has been using
his well for several years and that
the water is mighty fine, to use his
own expression, and thnt a few days
ago he drew up a bucket of water
and found a set of false teeth in the
well bucket. He is not sure how the
teeth got into the well, but remembers
that a party of ladies and gentlemen
visited his place about six months
ago and were given a drink of water
front the well. He thinks some one
of-the party dropped the teeth.
But this is not the only peculiar
find in Cobham's well, for he tells of
having some months since drawn up
in the well bucket a bone that looked
like the'part of a human. This may
he accounted for by the statement
that not far from the well is an old
burying ground. The bone looked
like it was a part of a leg of some
deceased one.
