ELECTION PROBATE JUDGE
IS STILL UNCERTAIN
COLUMBIA, S. C.—The election of
probate judge of Richland county is
still in a state of uncertaintyr The
boxes will not be opened until Tues
day, when the county commissioners
of election will meet, and at that time
Judge Coce Cobb, the only candidate,
will demand a count of the vote iu
order to determine whether anv votea
were cast for him at all. If there is
one vote for him and none for any
one else he is elected, but his name
was left off the ticket by oversight,
and until the vote is tabulated there
is no telling what is the status of the
matter.
Judge Cobb has secured opinions
from some of the best lawyers at the
bar, aud they agree that a special
election will have to be ordered by
the Governor if it is found that there
has been no election.

What Sulphur Does
For th e Human Body in Health ann
Disease.
COSTS NOTHING TO TRY.
The mention of sulphur will recall
to many of us the early days when
our mothers and grandmothers gave,
us our daily dose of sulphur and mo
lasses every spring ami fili.
It was th • universal spring and fall
"blood purifier,” tonic ami cure all
and, mind you, this old-fashioned rent
edy was not without merit
f The idea was gool, but the remedy
was crude and unpalatable, and a
large quantity had to be taken to g&S
any effect.
Nowadays we get all the beneficial
effects of sulphur In a palatable,
concentrated form, so that a single
grain l« far mor, effect! :e than ?.
tablespoonfu! of the crude sulphur.
In recent years research and expe
riment have proven that, the best sul
phur for medicinal use is that obtain
ed from Calcium (Calcium Sulphide)
and sold in drug stores under tho
name of Smart's Calcium Wafers
They are small chocolate coated pel
lets and contain the active medicinal
principle of sulphur in a highly con
cenuated, effective form.
Few people are aware of the value
of this form of sulphur iu restoring
and maintaining bodll.v vigor and
health; sulphur acts directly oh the
liver and excretory organs and puri
fies and enriches the blood by the
prompt elimination of waste material.
Our grandmothers knew this when
they dosed us with sulphur and mo
lasses every sprlug and fall, but the
crudity and impurity of ordinary flow
ers of sulphur were often worse than
the disease, and cannot compare with
the modern concentrated preparations
of sulphur, of which Stuart's Calcium
Wafers is undoubtedly the best and
most widely used.
They arc the natural antidote so - j
liver aud kidney troubles and cure i
constipation and purify the blood in n |
way that often surprises patient and j
physician alike.
Dr. R. M. Wilkins, while experi-,
mentiug with sulphur remedies, soon
found that the sulphur from Calcium !
was superior to any other form. Ho
says: “For liver, kidney and blood
troubles, especially when resulting
from constipation or malaria. 1 have
been surprised at the results obtained
from Stuart's Calcium Wafers. In pa
tients suffering from boils aud pim
ples aud even deep-seated carbuncles, i
I have repeatedly seen them dry up
and disappear tn four or five days,
leaving the skin clear and smooth. Al-j
tnoug- Stuart's Calcium Wafers is a
proprietary article and sold by drug
gists aud for that reason tabooed by
many physicians, yet 1 know of noth
ing so safe and reliable for constipa
tion, liver and kidney troubles and es
pecially In all forms of skin disease-,
as this remedy.
At any rate people who are tired of
pills, cathartics and so-called blood
"purifiers" will find In Stuart's Cal
cium Wafers, a far safer, more palat
able aud effective preparation. v
