The contestants lost sight of the fact that the cards were arranged in series—Series A, B, C and D, re
spectively. Miss Lucie Harmon presented the FIRST and ONLY complete set of numbers arranged in the
proper way; presenting a set in Series D: which entitled her to the First Prize, although it was the one hun
dred and fourteenth set presented.
The CONTEST was a BOOMING SUCCESS, and we wish to thank all the participants for the genuine
interest taken in it.
As already announced, the object of the CONTEST was to more thoroughly familiarize the public with
STANDARD PATTERNS AND PUBLICATIONS. There is hardly another pattern on the American market
that can compare with this one—it is the acme of perfected patterns, and so acknowledged by authorities
on the subject. We are agents for these celebrated patterns in Augusta.
Club Offer.
Merely to introduce the actual Pattern itself. Any Pattern costs 15c. A Fashion Book (a criterion) costs
20c. A year’s subscription to The Designer Magazine costs 50c. The value of the three is 85c. All three are
yours NOW for 60c. You save 25c on accepted and acknowledged Superior Goods. The Standard Patterns,

Editor Herald, Sir:
There is an old white mangv dog
that loafs around on Broad Street
and was particularly objectionabble
on the 800 block this morning. For
common decency's sake I ask if there
is no city ordinance that will remove
such a.nuisance from out most public
streets.
