The principal action taken by the committee was a decision to present a petition to the varloua railroads of the city asking them to arrange to pay their employes at regular Inter villa during the month no that they will be able to settle their accounts properly. It seems that many of the railroad employe*, have accounts with many of the merchants and on owing to (be fact that there is some uncer tainty concerning the pay days Jhey are unable to calculate just when they will he able to pay Up.
