Flood Flotsam
Among the large local contributors
to the flood relief fund is the firm of
Von Ktmp. Vaughan and Gerald, who
gave a hundred lollavs several days
ago. Through some oversight it has
not previously been acknowledged.
Mr. J. M. Rosier, who lives about
three miles from ,he city on th' old
Plank road, announces that all who
wish to conic af:cr it may have water
free of chame. He has plentiful sup
ply of fine pure water.
The Hr raid today received a com
plaint over the phone front a resident
of the Power house district, to the > f
fect that that section was not being
properly looked after by the relief
organizations. The complaint was re
ferred to the proper parties and the
matter will he attened to. All com
plaints should he made to the Asso
ciated Charities heniPimmers directly
and thus avoid delay.
The sv 3tenia;izlag of th" relief
work continues steadily. The num
ber of unwor'hy ones is being rapidly
reduced. Many negroes art inking
advantage of the free distribution anti
th're ire reports of some white peo
ple acting unworthily that will be
carefully looked into.
Announcement is marie that the Air-
