BEFORE me personally appeared
Win. Fletcher, and being duly
sworn, made oath, that on the 24th of Oc
tober last, between Campbletown and
Poverty-Hill, he lost a Red Morocco
Pocket Book, containing the following
Notes, to wit;—One of fifty dollars on
John Lee and Burrel Reace, with a cre
dit on it for forty-two dollars, fifty-six
and a quarter cents, given sometime in
August, and due one day after date, and
one on Daniel Erasure for twenty-twtf
dollars, given sometime in September
last, due one day after date, and one oth
er on John Crawford for twenty-dollars,
due the 25th of December, 1817, one
other on Burrel Ueacc, for twenty dol
lars,given the 12th of October last, and
one five dollar bill, signed John Bolton,
and a two dollar bill of the same bank,
and some small change not recollected.
Any person returning the Pocket Book
witn its contents, shall receive a reward
of Five Dollars.

by tlie name ot Abram, a large, stout,
strong built fellow, about 6 teet high,
rather inclining to be round shouldered,
dark color, or pale bi&ck, large coarse
features, thick beard, a scar on the un
der lip, a bit cut off'the rim of the right
ear, when spoken to he has a diffident
downcast look, and appears very sub-
! missive, when he talks has generally a
rawling tune to his words, but when
lively, can speak as sprightly as_any one,
he is a good Carpenter.' He has taken
away with him sundries of cotton cloaths,
and none of them very coarse, he had on
when he went away, a dark brown broad
cloth surtout coat, rather worse for wear,
a good pair of strong shoes, a good old
hat, a pair of new blankets, London duf
fils, striped at the ends: he calls himself
when away from home, Isaac, and prob
ably be may call himself by some other
name: lie is a native of South-Carolina,
his first masters name* was Hendrix, the
second —— Bendender, living on the
fork of Broad River, within a few mil»‘
of Columbia, and probably he has made
for there again; any person lodging him
in any 'jail in this state, ol* within sixty
miles of Augusta, in South-Caroilna,
shall receive the above reward, and all
reasonable charges by applying to the
subscriber in Augusta.

DAN A WAY from the subscriber on
Sunday morning the 9th inst. ayel
, lowish black negro woman named Oi
oet, about 5 feet seven inches high, pret
ty heavy for her height, about 23 years
of age, with full face, smooth skin and
large breasts. She took away all her
clothes, so it is not easy to describe her
dress. It is believed that she is harbor
ed somewhere in town, or not far from
it, or she may hare made her way to Sa
vannah, in some of the Augusta Boats.
The above reward will be paid on the
delivery of the said Negro Woman, or
upon her being secured in any jail so 1
can get her again; and if proof is pro
duced that she is harbored by any white
person, a further reward of Thirty Dol
lars will be paid on conviction of the
person haboring her.
