sidered as subscribers to this Bank

tee entrusted with mak ng arrange
ments for erecting an EPISCOP AL
CHURCH in this city, have resolved,
that no time be lost in effecting an
object so desirable, and have empow
ered Augustin slaughter, Esq. to re
ceive from the original subscribers
an instalment of twenty per cent on
the amount of their subscriptions.
Whilst the committee acknowledge
with pleasure the liberality of the
public, they venture to hope that the
attempt will meet such further en
courugement as will enable them to
erect a building which shall remain
for ages a splendid memento of the
taste, liberality, and Christian zeal
of the inhabitants of Augusta.
