WHEREAS, by an act of Con
gress, passed on the Sd of
March, 1815, entitled, “an act to
provide for the ascertaining and sur
veying of the boundary lines fixed by
the treaty with the Creek Indians,
and for other parposes,” the Presi
dent of the United States is authori
zed to cause the lands acquired by
the said treaty to be offered for sale
when surveyed;

public sales for the disposal (agreea
blyto law) of certain lands in the
Alabama territory, shall be held at
Milledgeville, iu Georgia, viz.:
Oil the first Monday in October
next, for the sale of tow n lots, in the
town of Cahaba, in the said territory,
situate at the junctions of the rivers
Alabama and Cahaba.
On the third Monday in Octobei
