cher Skinner, dec. assignee of John
Roller, humbly sheweth, that on the
thirtT-drst day of December, in the
«tar' I*o7, Susannah Collins made
and executed to John Retler her
deed of mortgage, and thereby, in
consideration of one hundred to thir
ty-two dollars and thirty-two cents,
paid to her by John Retler, bargain
ed, sold and conveyed to the saic
John Ketler, hia heirs and assigns,
two tracts of land in the county a
foresaid—one, containing one bun
dred acres, the place whereon the
aaid Ketlerthen lived; the other con
taining one hundred and twenty-five
•cres, the same playe whereon Jas.
Jarvis (bon lived : with a condition
thei-eonfo annexed, that if the sai«
Susnnah, her heirs and assigns,
should pay to the said John Ke’lc,
his heirs or assigns, the full and just
sum of one hnnored and thirty-two
dollars and thirty-two cents, on o*
before the first dnv of April next
thereafter, with lawful interest there
ton until paid, then the sa>d deed,
as also a certain note or due-bill,
bearing even date with the said deed
given by the said' Susannah to the
said John Ketler, for the payment of
the same sum, should be void, but
should otherwise remain in full force
and virtue —which said deed and note
afterwards, in the life-time of the
aaid Archer Skinner, were assigned
by the saul John Ketler to him, the
aaid Archer Skinner—Andyour pe
titioner saith, that there is now on
the said note and mortgage the said
sum of one hundred and thirty-two
dMIarS and thirty-two cents, princi
pal, and one hundred and one dollars
and forty-six cents, interest, up to
bis tiaie remaining due and unpaid
Wherefore, your petitioner | ray
this court to grant a rule nisi for the
payment of the said sums, together
with the interest that may hereafter
oerrue on this principal sum and the
' costs of the court herein, vrilliin the
time prescribed by law, and in de
fault thereof, that the equity of re

be foreclosed.

HARRIS, at my office in Elbert County,
and State of Georgia, in such order that lie
may be safely brought to trial, for a rob
bery and destruction of the Mail of he U.
States, committed by him on Thursday, the
29:h October lost, near said office.
Thompson Harris, is about 21 or 22
veers of age, five feet, ten fcreleven inches
high, dark hair, fair skin, stout bill and
fleshy for a man of his age, he has a part
of one of his ears bitten off (supposed to
he the left) He is a man of good and com
manding appearance. The colour of his
eyes cannot be minutely described, they
having always been weak and weeping’;
k he drosses well, & is a man offittle educa
tion. He was pursued to Granville Coun
ty, in North-Carolinai, w hore he was over
taken by the pursuers, who either wilfully
or carelessly let him effe.this escape, and
it is still behoved that he is lurking some
wherein North Carolina, he having many
relations of his name in that state. Now
to all Post Masters, officers both civil‘anil
military, together with all the good citizens
of tliesc United States, it is respectfully
submitted and requested, Jiat they use
Iheir best endeavors and exercise their
authorities towards causing this villain to
be brought to justice.
