last, a Mulatto man, named RKUBIN
EVANS, about 35 years of age, 5 feet 0
or 8 inches accustomed to waggon-
k had travelled considerably through
Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky in ihal
capacity, ami probably often passed for a
freeman: he formerly belonged to Mr.
Henderson, & worked at King’s Saltworks
in Virginia; was afterwards sold to Col.
John Carson of Burke county N. Corolina,
brought to Augusta and offered for sale by
CharTdsCarsOn esq. of Buncomb county:
he was left mi tfyal, but previous to his
executing a bill of sale for him he abscon
ded: It is believed he is concealed by some
person, but whether in the swamps near
Augusta, or in the upper parts of North
Carolina, or near the Saltworks, or else
where is not yet ascertained with certain

Wednesday night last, a tall mulatto girl,
named AMY, about 25 or SO years of age—
her upper fore teeth out, no other distin
guishing mark recollected. She lived in
Augusta for some years past, and was for
merly the property of Mark I). Clark.
The above reward, with all reasonable
expenses, will be paid, at this office, for
securing the said negro in any jail, so that
1 get her again.
