January 22 . t The Subscriber, HAVING purchased the estate of Wil liam Foxwell, deceased, from the heirs, Edward Foxwell and Allen Nichols, the husband of Kisiah Foxwell, the only \ heirs, and they reside in Caswell county, 1 North Carolina, After my return, 1 got into peaceable possession; John M‘Wade being executor to the will of Said Foxwell, swore 1 broke open the doors of the dwel ling house of said deceased, and took for , cible possession, had me taken, and I was confined sixteen days before I could call I the attention of the Honorable Inferior • Court; before them 1 proved I got into • peaceable possession, and was relieved by ■ that testimony fiom my confinement; Esquire M'Wade told several persons he would have me taken again; if he does, my request is, that he may be more par ticular in His next oath, for in the first, he was in or near Savannah at the time 1 took possession, and without his coming to see if I was in possession, swore 1 was, and that 1 broke locks to do to (unless he came by night) and if by night he saw me in possession; I know not how lie swore what he has, for there never was a lock, bolt or latch to the doors since 1 knew the house, and 1 du not believe there ever was since the building of the house; the ; fact is, Esquire M'Wade designs keeping ,the property until the law relieves him of that trouble which I believe he will be sorry for—l hope the clerk will be parti cular in keeping M'Wade’s oath until the sitting of the next Superior Court. RAN AWAY from the subscriber abou the first of November last, a young negro fellow named SAM or SAMUEL, nineteen years old, light complexion, fine countenance, very likely, well made, five feet six ur eight inches high, and has a small scar on tiis forehead near the edge of the hair. Reid, Judge; RULE NJSI UPON the petition of Robert* Thomas, stating that he was possessed of a certain bond given by one Henry Hughs' in his life time to said Thomas, under the penalty of 5 hundred dollars, with a condi tion thereunder written, and to be void of the said Henry Hughs, shall make and execute good and sufficient warranted ti tles to a certain tract of Land lying and being in the county of Burke, containing two hundred and fifty acres adjoining lands of Hell and Walton, and bearing date on tbe 12th day of December 1810, a true co py of said bond as nearly as can as recol lected by said 'Thomas is annexed tp said petition and filed in the clerks office to gether with such other evidence as the said Thomas has, and the said original be ing destroyed. It is therefore ordered that the said Cepy of said bond annexed to said petition be established in lieu of tl)e ori ginal so destroyed, unless good cause be ihewn to contrary on or before the first day of the next term of thi* Court.
