A KAN A WAY from i the subscriber, on the _ Sg&lf loth February last, a JpSj < Jay f Negro Man, named f,/ VALENTIN E; he is about 21 years of age; six leet or upwards high; well made, but rather slim ; a little bowlogged,—he is a likely, well countenanced fellow; has large, full eyes; is sensible and artful; .he is remarkable for having a scald head, covered with a white scurf, and some scattering hair or wool,—but to prevent detection he will probably endeavor to have it cured, or 111 ike some application to alter its color. From the manner in which ho went off, and his not being since heard of, 1 am induced to believe he has been stolen or seduced away by some white person. I will pay a reward ol fifty dollars to any person who will 9r« enre said runaway in jail, or otherwise, so that I get him again; if stolen, a fur ther reward of fifty dollars will be paid for apprehending the thief, on his convic tion. Any information respecting the said Negro, by any person who may have seen nr heard of him, will be thankfully received; and if brought home, all rea sonable charges, in addition to the above reward, will be paid. IN the month ofFeh’ry 1820, Emanuel Llosd left the Planters’ Hotel in this City, for the purpose of going to the house of Mr. Wm. M‘Gar to obtain his working tools ; he had with him at the lime about S7OO. The late Mr. Lind sey Coleman said that from the descrip tion of the above person, he believed that he went to the state of Alabama with Gen. Scott: since which period he has not been heard of. H« is a tall man, about C foot I inch high, dark complex ion, 33 years of age,' by trade a house carpenter. Any infoMnation respecting him will bo thankfully received, by his brother, the subscriber. UpON the petition of the Planter’s Bank of the State of Georgia, praying the foreclosure of the Equity of Re demption in and to four lots of Land, lying and being in the city of Augusta, and county and state aforesaid, known in the plan of lots laid out at the up per end of Broad-Street, by Daniel Sturges, Surveyor General, on the twenty-eighth day of February, eigh teen hundred and eighteen, and lying on the south side of Broad-Street, as numbers nine, ten, eleven and twelve, containing each thirty feet front on said Broad-Street, and extending back to Ellis-Street, as by reference to said plan will more fully appear; which said four lots of land were mortgaged by Adam Hutchison, on the first day of Ju ly, one thousand eight hundred and eighteen, to Barns M'Kinne, and by said Barna M‘Kinne assigned to the said Planter’s Dank, on the twenty ninth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and nineteen, on which mort- I' gage there is now due twelve hundred and sixty-seven dollars and a half, i with interest.
