The late Mr. Liiid sey Coleman said that Iroin the descrip tion of the above person, he believed that he went lo the state of Alabama with Geu. Scott: since which period he has not been heard of. He is a tall man, about C feel 1 inch high, dark complex ion, 33 years of age, by trade a house carpenter. Any information respecting him win be thankfully received, by his brother, the subscriber. Allen, dec. have this day petitioned this court by their proctor, for relief as securities of Thomas 9, Bayliss, guardian of the mi nors of Gerrard Morriss, late of Colum bia county, dec.—and it appearing to the court that the said guardian is out of the limits of this Stale, so that ordinary pro cess cannot be served upon him ; there fore, the said Thomas S. Baylits, guar dian as aforesaid, is hereby summoned to appear before us a ! the regular sitting of this court, on the first Monday of No vember next, when this court will pro ceed to make such relief in the case by by counter security, or otherwise, as to them shall seem just and equitable; and that a copy of this rule be published in the Augusta Chronicle. WHEREAS I have been informed that John Carnochun and Peter Mitchell of this C'uy have by sundry deeds recently mortgaged and assigned to divers persons either their individual creditors, creditors of the late firm of Carnochun &, Mitchel or others, all or sundry tire property and firm as well as their ow n individual piopcrty and estate consisting together of houses, lots, lands, stores, wares, negroes &c. in Sa vannah and Darien in Georgia or the neighborhood thereof, and elsewhere, with their interest or share in die stock of the Lower Steam Mill near Darien, and sundry shares in the United States Rank and oilier Banks, as well as sun. dry, debts due to them in various places, beside lands, lots, negroes &c. in the territory of Florida, and particularly one large tract of land bought of Forb s St Co. laying between the rivers St. Marks and Analachicola in the territory of Florida aforesaid. these are hereby to caution the public against purchasing any part of the said property or estate so cou*y> cd, or any other property belonging to tlie saidCarnochan St Mitchell or either of them, as I hold prior mortgages on the greatest part thereof, which are on re , cord in the registry in Savannah and Darien aforesaid, and in Charleston, S. JCARNOCILVN and P Mitchel, • are sorry to be again brought before the public by a second notice of Mr. Christie’s, who has undoubtedly claims against them which when finally liquidated on the decision of the suit now pending, they will try to satisfy as soon as possible thereafter. The deeds under which Mr. Christie claims an exclusive right to all the real and personal estate of Carnochun and Mitchel, are considered as infor mal, unjust and illegal. Hence they have been brought and are still before the Court, and other deeds have been executed and recorded, conveying the property for the use of all their credit ors, Mr. Christie included ; without any trust or reservation beneficial to C. and il. or their families ; and if this be not agreeable to that gentleman, it must nevertheless appear fair and equi table to die public and all who have a sense of justice- The Trustees under the kte deeds are anxious to sell the Lands in Florida, alluded to in the notice of Mr C. and to apply the proceeds to the immediate payment of part of his demand and de posit a sufficiency thereof to cover all his claim, subject to the decision of the Court—but his opposition to any sonable sale, as one interested in his own right, whilst injuring all parties concerned, must be borne until a sale can be made under an order of Cou r t.
