Notice.
SEALED Proposals will be received
by the subscriber until the 20th day
of .November next, for the supply of
Wood for the use of the U. S. Troops at
this station. The probable quantity re
quired will be from 150 to 200 cords of
good oak or hickory Wood, to be corded
and delivered by the contractor at the
U. S. Arsenal, near this place, or on the
, Sand Hills, at the option of the com
manding officer. The contract to be for
one year from the Ist day of December,
1822, to the 30th day of November, 1823,
Bond and approved security, to the a
mouut of twelve hundred dollars, will be
required for the faithful fulfilment of the
contract.

Dancing School.
MR. LESLIE, grateful for the en
couragement be has heretofore re
ceii ed, respectfully informs the Ladies
and Gentlemen of Augusta, that he will
again open his School on Holiday after
noon, the 28th Inst, in the room over the
store of Messrs. Hall & Washburn. He
will give three lessons in each week for
twelve weeks, which will make 36 les
sons in the quarter. His days of tuition
will be Monday, Wednesday and Fri
day evenings, from 4 to 6 o’clock.

color, also took other clothes with him,
the color, not recollected. Ten dollars
reward will be given to any person who
will lodge him in any Jail in this stale or
fn South-Cnrolina, so that I can get him,
and fifty dollars for him and the person
who may give him an unlawful pass.—-
