Council of Augusta, that from and
after the passing ol this Ordinani e, no
person shall buy, ; cceive from, or barter
; with any slave or slaves for fodder, c orn or
other grain, meat or poultry, or lor goods,
' wares and merchandize, or produce of
I any kind, except such as arc expressly
| allowed by the seventeenth Section of the
( general ordinance, unless such slave or:

, make such sole or barter, under the pen
