keep his well known establish mint at the
sign of the Eagle, in Ashville, Bum ombe
county, who is in readiness to receive
and attend to those who may call on him.
His house is arra.jgfed so as to accommo
date gentlemen with their families with
rooms, suitable and airy lor summer.—
Also private rooms for those who wish,
and rooms/or transient travellers. With
a new range of stables now pulling up,
seventy two by fifty four feet, with four
range of stalls therein, and a stream of
water conducted to every part of the es
tablishment through pipes from the
mountain. And convenient to this es
tablishment arc sonic very Chalybeate
water, some of w Inch has been used to
advantage. He has on hand a general
assortment of Goods, Spirits, Ate. Tan
nery, Saddle, Harness, Hoot and Shoe,
Taylor, and Blacksmith’s Shops, with
their proceeds, made suitable for the tra
veller, all of which shall be sold on the
lowest possible terms.
- His rales of boarding for man and horse,
seven dollars per week —children and
servants a proportionable deduction.—
Also a further deduction, where a family
slays a length of time. His boarding
house is a large white framed house,
joined by a brick building below, and is
in the southern part of the village, 32
miles south of the Warm Springs, and is
sufficiently large for the accommodation
of one hundred persons. He is autho
rized to say that Win. Murray, 13 miles
south of Ashville, and Dr. Benjamin
Hourlh, 1 mile below the Warm Springs,
(both good houses) also hold themselves
in readiness to lake visitors and travellers
to the mountains the ensuing season, and
pledge themselves to render every possi
ble satisfaction in their power on the most
moderate terms the country can afford.
N. B. The roads across the Saluda
and Sevananogaps, of the Blue Ridge,
are now put in good repair by the States
of South and North-Carolina.
