as a tree man,) and recently as a carpenter in
this <-ity. He is about 25 years of age, 6 feet,
or 6 feet 2 inches high, thin visage, high fore
head, and usually wears bis hair fashionably ;
he is suspected of having forged fiee paper?,
(being an artful fellow,) with which lie may
probably endeavor to escape out oftlie country,
either by the way of Charleston or Savannah.
Any person apprehending him and giving infor
mation, in Charleston, to Mr. Carlos Tracy—in |
Savannah, to Mr. Jonathan Meigs—in Cohun- '
bia, (where he may possibly have gone,) to Mr.
J. A Black, or to the subscriber in this city,

Be it ordained by the authority of the. City
Council, That certain articles- of agreemen

eighth day ol August last past, by & between the
illy Council of Augusta, and Hie Wharf Com
pany of Augusta, shall be, and the same are
hereby declared to be binding and valid to ail
