Council, after the election of Directors this day,
shall and will, ou the second Monday of Janua
ry, annually, or at such other times as the
Conned may hereafter direct, elect four Direc
tors, whose duty il shall be to co-operate with
the four Directors of the Wharf Company in
the ■ management of tho affairs of the, united 1
interests of the said Vv harve, under the stipu
lations contained iu the articles of agreement
aud union aforesaid.
And be il further ordained, That the rules
and ratis of wharfage, heretofore in force at the
Wharl Company’s wharf, shall be, and the same
arc considered in force, tor the government of
the iiniled interests, until they shall be changed,
and the City Directors are required hereby lo
abide by and adopt aud enforce the same.
And be it further ordained, Thai nothing in ,
this ordinance =hall be construed, as to interfere
with, or contradict the power oflhe City Coun
cil to regulate As harvos, as he same is con
veyed by. the charter of incorporation of the 1
city of Augusta.
