We were presented, a few days since,
with a beautiful sample of Hulled Cotton ,
Seed from a machine invented by Capt.
Wm H SritiNGER. an inge-ious and
persevering mechanic of this District. The
kernel U left perfectly whole, and the hull
outside covering completely taken off
The machine is said io he very simple in
its construction, and to answer the purple
f„r which il was intended admirably We
understand that it is ihe intention of C .(.t
S ring-' t» construct the machinery ne
~,,ar,» or the Cotton Seed Ot),
iis soon as possible We consider this
un ertakiog of considerable importance to
the planter and the community in general
as the oil from the seed ts sa.d to be worth
one third as much as the Cotton.
