vember next, and it is believed, under the
most favorable auspices; every obstacle
to its future advancement having been
removed, and such measures adopted by
the Hoard of Trustees, as will give a new
impulse lo the exertions of the Family.

ment of Professor Drake, of Cincinimlli,

His acknowledged reputation as a Lec

tions of our country, in which a majority
of the Graduates in .Medicine may be ex
peeled to locate themselves, must greatly
enhance the value of his instructions.
The additions w hich have been made
to the'Anatomical Cabinet, with the fa
cilities afforded tfor dissection and de
monstration, are such its will hear com
parison with those of the oldest Medical
School on this side flic Atlantic.
In nil other respects, it is confidently
believed, it is not surpassed hy any of its
sister Institutions, with all of which, as
far as is know n, it is placed on n (fooling
ol' perfect equality,—a course of Lec
tures in one, being’ held equivalent to n
course on the same branches, in every
other.
The A Inis House and Hospital of the
city utford ample opportunities lo the
Student of acquiring clinical instruction,
and hours are appropriated to this pur
pose. An Inlininiry for diseases of the
eye is also connected with the U'ollege.

graduation fee is 815, and no wilier
charge is made either on matriculation,
or subsequently.

than 8200 for the two full courses, re
quired by law to entitle the Student lo
graduation. One oflhese, at least, must
he attended in this Institution; ami it is
further required, that the candidate shall
have studied three years (inclusive oftlif
terms of attendance on the Lectures)
under the direction of a respectable prac
titioner of M-edfeinc, —that he shall he
twenty-one years of age—and having
presented a Thesis on some .Medical:
subject, nhitlt give satisfactory evidence
of his qualifications on an examination
by the Faculty, which takes place imme
diately alter the close of each session.
